Svarovski Collectibles

My mother loved Swarovski collectibles and I was very fortunate to inherit her collection. She didn’t start collecting till after my father died when I was young and the interesting thing about her Swarovski collectibles is that they were all given to her by men that she either went out with or close male friends.

She never remarried and non of them ever stayed over at out house but I remember that we had a lot of “uncles” that would take us out as a family for treats and invariably the Swarovski collectibles collection would have a new addition. Here are some of my favourites:

# 1 Swarovski collectibles - Crystal Figurine Rocking Horse

This Swarovski collectibles figurine has blue eyes and is part of the when we were young collection. An old flame Mark gave it to her only a year or so before she passed away and I think that the collection was significant.
They had gone to high school together and been high school sweethearts. They had lost contact when they went to college and they hadn’t seen each other for many years. My mother told me that Mark had been trying to find her for years and had given her the Swarovski collectibles figurine so that she would remember the sweet times that they had together when they were young.

# 2 Swarovski collectibles – LovLots Crystal Figurine – Gracy

Gracy the nut squirrel was given to her by Tony and was one of her first Swarovski collectibles. Gracy is very pretty with a platinum white crystal body and she is carrying a smoky quartz moonlight nut.
Tony and my mother saw each other on an off for years, I cant remember how many but when Tony was around mom was always laughing and he would treat us kids well. He would always bring us treats of some kind or take us out for ice cream or pizza, things like that are pretty important to a kid.

Unfortunately when I was 12 Tony was in a fatal car accident and we all missed him, especially my mother who cried for months afterward and she kept telling us what a good man he was.

# 3 Swarovski collectibles - Lucky Lee Happy Duck Family Collectible

This Swarovski collectibles piece was came from Lee a Chinese national and a really sweet guy. He was hung up on my mother but my mother just never could feel the same way they were just too different as people. Mon was convinced that she had already had the love of her life in my father and nobody else would ever match up.

Lee kept trying anyway he didn’t believe in failure, for two years he kept pursuing her even though she had said no many times. Eventually he meet a woman that who felt the same way about him that he after a while felt for her and they ended up getting married. My mother confided in me that she was really relieved that he had found happiness and that she loved the Swarovski collectibles duck but Lee was just a friend.

# 4 Swarovski collectibles - Swarovski Collectible Figurine Chimpanzee

Barry, the local used car salesman around the corner from where we lived, gave this Swarovski collectibles chimp to her. She went to his lot one day to look for a car and Barry was smitten (his words and not hers) she didn’t end up buying a car from him but did go out to dinner with him.

In fact they went out to dinner a few times, my mother said that he was so persistent it was easier to say yes. But they were not a good match and when Barry tried to give her a car to show his love she sat him down and firmly told him to keep the car and that she couldn’t see a future together and that she was in love with someone else.

He tried for a bit longer but when she wouldn’t answer his calls he eventually moved on.

# 5 Swarovski collectibles –Swan/Serpent Cat pin rare collectible

My mother used to wear this Swarovski collectibles pin all of the time because it is such a lovely piece of jewellery. But I think it was also because Jason, who had given it to her, also held a special place in her heart.

Jason was the one that my mother couldn’t have and I think that was a regret for her. Not because he didn’t love her he did as a friend. But Jason was gay so they became good friends instead and they used to go to the theatre and opera together and all of the fashionable parties – and he gave this beautiful Swarovski collectibles pin, which was quite rare.

# 6 Swarovski collectibles - Swarovski Crystal 24k Mini Shoes

This pair of Swarovski collectibles is so sweet they are miniature ladies sandals crafted from stainless steel and Swarovski collectibles crystals with straps of 24-caret gold. Gary who was a pilot with an international airline gave them to her. Gary had bought them in Paris for her when they spent a weekend there. She had been on the flight to Paris because she was attending a conference for work.

Apparently, and she didn’t give too much away, they had a very romantic weekend which came to a halt when she found out that Gary was married. My mother didn’t date married men she had no desire to interfere in anyone’s marriage so she walked out of the hotel, leaving Gary there and never saw or heard from him again.
